Service

pdftap provides a set of PDF tools — edit, merge, split, compress, OCR, watermark, page management, and similar — at https://pdftap.app. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do our best to keep it running and correct, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free output.

Tiers and limits

Free. Up to 15 MB per file, 100 pages per document, 10 files per batch, and 10 OCR pages. The free tier permits five processing requests in a rolling 24-hour window.

Pro. Up to 200 MB per file, 500 pages per document, 50 files and 250 MB total per batch, and 50 OCR pages, with no daily operation quota. Safety limits on decoded images, rendered pixels, and generated output still apply to every tier.

The paid Day Pass is a one-time purchase, does not renew, and unlocks Pro limits for 24 hours from successful payment. Access is linked to operational cookies in the browser used for Checkout; clearing those cookies or switching devices can prevent automatic recovery. Contact support with your payment details if paid access is not granted.

The displayed Day Pass price excludes applicable taxes. Stripe calculates and adds any tax at Checkout before you authorize payment. The final total and tax treatment can depend on your billing location.

We may adjust these limits over time as the service and its costs evolve. When we do, we will update this page and announce the change inside the app.

Your content

You retain your rights in your PDFs. You authorize pdftap to transmit, temporarily process, and transform them only as needed to perform the operation you requested. We do not claim ownership of your content or intentionally retain uploaded documents after request processing finishes.

Prohibited uses

Don't use pdftap to:

• Process content that is illegal in the jurisdiction where it was created or where it will be used.
• Infringe on copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
• Attack, overload, or otherwise interfere with the service — whether by malformed input, scraping, or denial of service.
• Circumvent free-tier limits through automation, multiple accounts, or any other workaround.

Termination

We may refuse service to anyone who abuses the platform or violates these terms. pdftap does not currently sell recurring subscriptions. If a paid one-time pass cannot be provided because of a service failure, contact us and we will provide the refund or remedy required by applicable consumer law. You can stop using the service at any time.

Mandatory rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits consumer, privacy, or other rights that cannot legally be waived where you live. Any dispute will be handled under the law and venue that validly apply to the parties and the transaction.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Minor changes (clarifications, typos, contact details) take effect immediately. Material changes — anything that meaningfully affects your rights or our obligations — will be announced inside the app at least 30 days before they take effect, so you have time to review them and cancel if you disagree.
