About this tool
Merge PDF concatenates two or more PDFs into a single document in the order you arrange them. Drop files into the dropzone, then drag to reorder before clicking merge — the sequence on screen is the sequence in the final file. Bookmarks, form fields, and annotations from every source PDF are preserved in the combined output, so you don't lose any structure when stitching files together.
All original PDF features carry through to the merged file: outlines stay attached to their source pages, fillable forms remain interactive, and annotations stay in place. The free tier supports up to 10 files per merge; Pro raises that ceiling. The combined page count counts toward the per-document size cap, so a few large source PDFs can hit the limit before the file count does.
How it works
Drop your PDFs
Drag two or more files into the dropzone, or click to pick them from disk. Files queue up in the order you add them.
Drag to reorder
Move files up or down in the list until the sequence matches what you want in the final document. Order matters — the first file becomes page 1.
Click Merge
The server stitches your PDFs together in a single pass and streams the combined file back to your browser.
Download the merged PDF
The download starts automatically. Bookmarks, forms, and annotations from each source file are intact in the result.

Frequently asked questions
- How many files can I merge at once?
- The free tier accepts up to 10 source files per merge. Pro raises that ceiling for larger batches.
- Will I lose form fields or annotations?
- No. Fillable form fields stay interactive and annotations stay anchored to their original pages — both carry through to the merged output unchanged.
- Does the order of files matter?
- Yes. Files merge in the order shown in the list, top to bottom. Drag entries to reorder them before clicking merge — the first file becomes page 1 of the result.
- Are bookmarks preserved?
- Yes. The outline (bookmark tree) from each source PDF is preserved and attached to the corresponding pages in the merged file.
- Can I merge encrypted or password-protected PDFs?
- No — encrypted PDFs need to be unlocked first. Use the unlock tool to remove the password, then drop the unlocked file into merge.
